Some stars shone in iconic looks at the 2026 MTV VMAs, while others were fashion disasters, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Madonna is set to open the show, marking her first performance in 23 years after memorable appearances in the 1980s and 1990s. Taylor Swift will also appear to receive the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honor and premiere the music video for her new single, Patient Zero...but first, celebrities showed off their VMAS look on the blue carpet.
Taylor Swift — Best
Taylor Swift wowed her her incredible red carpet look
Taylor Swift was one of the last arrivals, but she knocked everyone else out of the park with her first red-carpet appearance since tying the knot with Travis Kelce in July.
The pop superstar brought plenty of glamour to the VMAs, rocking a black top with a sheer back and a lace-up panel running along her spine, paired with a dazzling silver skirt, before capping off the night by winning Video of the Year for The Fate of Ophelia.
MEEK — Worst
MEEK's outfit was daring and eccentric.
British singer-songwriter MEEK seemed to have drawn her blue carpet inspiration from a shower puff, as her outfit closely resembled one.
Charlii XCX — Best
Charlii XCX was a vision in a sultry black look at the VMAs.
Charlii XCX has been hit or miss with her award show looks in the past, but the British singer really nailed her VMAS ensemble.
She flaunted her toned abs in a dramatic black velvet crop top with sleeves that ballooned out below the elbows and a sheer panel across the bust.
Bebe Rexha — Worst
Bebe Rexha's outfit featured intricate black lace designs.
Singer Bebe Rexha showed off her curves in a black lace lingerie-style gown that looked like a corset, a negligee, and a pair of thigh-high boots had collided.
Raye — Best
British sinter Raye nailed her look at he VMAs.
British singer Raye dazzled in a glittery silver gown with a cowl draping around the bust, while the lower half showcased her legs in a see-through skirt.
Not only is she nominated for Song of the Year for Where Is My Husband!, but Raye is making her VMA performance debut.
Chloe Bailey — Worst
Chloe Bailey's too-tight dress resulted in a wardrobe malfunction.
Chloe Bailey’s futuristic, mirror-paneled gown proved to be a fashion risk that didn’t quite pay off, as its daring cutouts and barely-there fit appeared too small to contain her curves, resulting in an unfortunate nip slip as she posed for photographers.
"I wanted to shine this inner light on the outside, and it's VMAs," she told E! News on the red carpet about her look. "I've been keeping my carpets really like fashion, and when it comes to showing the body, safe a little bit, so tonight we were like, 'Let's show a little skin.'"
Ciara Miller — Best
The current 'DWTS' constestant showed of her toned new dancer body.
Summer House's Ciara Miller wowed in a sultry, western-inspired number featuring a plunging brown leather bra top and matching low-slung, form-fitting pants with a front lace-up.
The current Dancing With the Stars contestant recently told Fashionista about her red carpet looks, "I definitely try to match the vibe of whatever the movie or show is. I just try to think of myself as a character and get dressed that way."
Bella Poarch — Worst
Bella Poarch's look was just too chaotic.
Singer and social media star Bella Poarch looked like she crawled out of a lingerie drawer explosion in her bizarre ensemble, which included a sheer corset, lace shorts, dangling ribbons and a shredded wrap.

Chanel West Coast — Worst
Chanel West Coast's tacky mismatched look appeared cheap.
An actual MTV star, Ridiculousness's Chanel West Coast, looked tacky in a Wild West-inspired look featuring a mismatched black lace top and high-low leopard-print skirt, topped off with a giant matching leopard cowboy hat and clashing gold clutch.
